INFERNO – Fortuna

This print is part of the series of 33 paintings featured in my new book INFERNO(read more about it on the dedicated section). They are my interpretation of Dante ‘s timeless tale using the classic imagery of traditional tattoos in form of a backpiece. 

INTRO

The Divina Commedia, a narrative poem penned between 1306 and 1321, is hailed as one of the most significant literary works ever created. This masterpiece takes readers on a transformative journey as Dante traverses Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven, accompanied by three guides representing Reason, Grace, and Glory. 

Dante’s Inferno is the first part of this epic poem which follows Dante as he journeys through Hell, led by the spirit of the ancient Roman poet Virgil. 

CANTO VII  Part 1 – Avaricious and Prodigals

In the fourth circle of Dante’s Inferno, sinners are condemned to push heavy boulders for eternity, representing the weight of wealth they foolishly sought in life.
